| I know its a dark age weapon but when it comes to ages dark is best. so...
I found in B&Q 8 foot dowling rods that are about 2 inches in diameter. i recon they are pine or beach from the grain but i'm not sure iether way its a good wait and feel they are priced at £10 a piece and I'll be picking one up next time i'm in. I haven't trained with one since 97 but i used to be fairly competant it, even spent some time looking at early Irish techniques for fighting with them and learned all the bizarre grips they used, its very similar to fighting with a bastard or at least the way i fight with a bastard.
anyone interested in finding a corner and doing staff training at the next session? |

| | I dint look to hard but they seamed to start at an 8th of an inch and go up in 8th from there so yes and thinner is cheaper. they also had ridged ones for her pleasure |

| hey guys, they're probably rammin poles (i think its spelt rammin). if it is, they're grand but can break quiet easily if u start to go hard at it... i have one at bout an inch r inch and a half diameter... _________________ Traditional archers dont shoot blanks!
